Young naval pilots were being trained to fly at Love Field in Prescott. Housing was limited, so Pine Acres provided these young cadets a place to stay while they were stationed in Prescott. Since the end of WWII, the property has remained an apartment community, with a wonderful heritage coupled with a peaceful setting in the tall pines.
